GI Restoration

One of the many supportive therapies we offer is GI (GastroIntestinal) Restoration. Due to over the counter drugs, antibiotics and stress, our GI tract can be compromised and this leads to numerous health issues.

Our digestive tract is the foundation of our immune system. Many are surprised by the fact that 80 percent of the immune system is actually in the digestive system. That’s right, 80 percent! Therefore, your gut is key to your health; it is your first line of defense from sickness and disease.

If your gut is not happy, then you are not happy. When we think of mood we tend to go to the brain, but we need to go to the gut; it is the location where most of our mood chemicals (serotonin) are made. For example, if you are having a tough time beating depression, consider your GI health before your brain health. Especially if you have a history of using over the counter drugs and antibiotics.  Antibiotics, for example, take out all the bacteria; therefore you may have inadvertently killed off the good bacteria necessary for gut health. Consuming probiotic foods like yogurt, kefir, fermented foods and the like will add back the beneficial bacteria that stabilizes those moods for happy humming mode.

At Family Holistic Health Solutions we understand the importance of a healthy GI tract and have specific protocols for GI repair and restoration. Contact me at 800-493-8982 today to learn more!
