Becoming and staying motivated requires its own motivation. If you build motivating practices into your day, then you will be able to sustain your motivation! Here are some very simple ideas that you can use:
- Posting quotes is a great way to stay motivated. Depending upon the type of motivation you need, you can post quotes in your work area, your refrigerator, in the bathroom, in your car or wherever you can easily see the gentle motivational reminder. - Call a trusted friend or colleague of high integrity. We all have those people in our lives that never let us down when we need to be lifted up. Give them a call and let them know that you are in need of a friendly voice. Ten minutes later you’ll feel on top of the world.
Most importantly, don’t allow yourself too much wallow time. It’s okay to wallow for a bit, sometimes that wallowing is just our low energy asking us to take a rest break. Just keep in mind that the quicker you can pick yourself up the better. What motivational practices do you do?
