Eat Better America is a site dedicated to “healthifying” our lives by providing easy ideas and options on the subject of health. The site also offers several recipes that have been made over in a healthier way. I searched for “Thanksgiving” at the site and was presented with all sorts of yummy recipes for turkey, as well as a Granola-Topped Sweet Potatoes and a Healthified Gravy. It is a member site so you will be asked to sign up and join, but membership is free.
The Eating Well site also shares a number of wonderful recipes, including some interesting vegetarian options. Some of the recipes that got my attention are Apple Cranberry Onion Stuffing and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. The mashed potato recipe foregoes the usual butter and cream, using broth, a bit of sour cream and a lot of flavor instead.
The Healthy Foodie blog site shares an intriguing recipe called Crazy Good yet Unbelievably Healthy Pumpkin Pie. This recipes looks as if it may require a bit of your time, but it will be totally worth it. The Thanksgiving meal, the once a year amazing meal we share with all our loved ones, is a great one for going that extra mile.
